The Nintendo 3DS version of Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games offers both local and download play multiplayer for up to four players. Download play gives the players the option to compete in both highlight match and event medleys, controlled by the host. The events are split across 11 different classes, and make use of most of the features of the Nintendo 3DS as inputs for them.
